Our mission is to foster healing and freedom for the hearts of both men and women who have been wounded by abortion. If you have experienced abortion, we want you to know that you are not alone. We speak not only from compassion, but from lived experience: we have walked this path ourselves and are intimately acquainted with the weight of these emotions. In this shared understanding, we seek to accompany you toward restoration, hope, and peace.
Our Organization
The darkness of abortion has touched thousands of men and women across the United States, and the issue is more visible than ever in today’s cultural and moral debates. We hold, in faith, that God creates life at the moment of conception, and that each life bears His image and purpose.

My name is Janice Barnes. In 2019, I was asked to prayerfully consider opening a Deeper Still chapter in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Since then, God has faithfully opened doors—establishing this chapter, preparing a team to serve, and bringing together those He has called to attend the first retreat in November 2020. His favor has been evident throughout.
Deeper Still is the ministry God used to bring healing to my own abortion-wounded heart. After two abortions and years of carrying that weight, I was invited to a retreat. I went believing I was already healed, but God revealed a deeper need and met me there with His love in a powerful way.
Since then, it has been my privilege to serve on retreat teams, witnessing God gently and faithfully bring healing and freedom to others walking this same path.
